Thanksgiving is right around the corner. What can Michiganders expect the weather to be like?

As we draw closer to Thanksgiving, we're likely solidifying plans to spend time with family and friends. If that involves some travel or an extended stay somewhere else, you'll want to know what the weather is going to be like.

Sure, Michigan weather can change on a dime, and this is a bit of an extended forecast. However, it doesn't hurt to be prepared.

What's the Weather Going to Be Like in Michigan This Thanksgiving?

Overall, the Farmer's Almanac says Michigan is looking at a slightly above average, average-temperature for the month, and predicting average rainfall as well.

So, not too shabby so far.

However, when we look at different parts of Michigan for the day of Thanksgiving (Thursday, November 28th), the Farmer's Almanac paints a slightly colder story, at least for most of the Lower Peninsula.

So if you're doing some traveling to the southern parts of Michigan, it looks like there's a chance you might encounter some snow along the way.

AccuWeather doesn't paint quite as cold of a picture. They predict most of Michigan will see highs in the low to mid 40s, with clouds, and some chances of rain.

Over all, it looks like travel won't be too bad for Michiganders visiting friends and family within the state.
