Michigan State researchers find ancient Greek gymnasium
Using high tech that was previously unavailable, and using 40 year old excavation records from a site in Greece, Jon Frey and researchers from Michigan State have discovered that the site was once the home of an ancient gym. According to MSU Today, Professor Frey and his colleagues and students are digital archaeologists, taking information from older excavations and digging into it (yeah - I meant to write that) with new technology like drones, GPS and digital imaging to get new information. Pretty cool.
And here's a video with Jon explaining the process.
