Michigan Snow: This Year Versus Last Year
If you feel like we've gotten more snow this winter than we did last year, well, it may feel that way... but you'd be wrong. According to Mlive.com, last year's snowfall totals are still much higher than what we've seen so far this year.
Lansing and Saginaw were both about 16 inches higher in snowfall by this time last winter. Last year at this time Detroit, Ann Arbor and Flint had around twice the normal snowfall and a whopping 20 to 25 inches more than this winter. Closer to the lake, Muskegon and Grand Rapids were around 30 inches above normal to this point in winter. Mlive.com has a cool graph for you to check out that compares the average snow to date, so far this winter and last winter to date, you can check it out here.
