Michigan Senator To Have Naval Destroyer Named After Him
According to the Detroit News, Former U.S. Senator Carl Levin will have a naval destroyer named after him. The Navy will hold a ceremony next week in Detroit to honor Levin, who served in the Senate from 1979 to 2014. (He retired in 2014.)
The naval destroyer is part of the Arleigh Burke class. The ship is currently known as DDG-120. You can read more about the naming ceremony by clicking here.
By the way, if anyone with any time of authority is reading this...Banana Don wouldn't mind having a naval destroyer named after him. He even has a name picked out....the U.S.S. BANANA.
