Forget all the fighting on Facebook and in Washington, people sometimes still do nice things for other people.

According to MLive.com, on Friday, an 18-year-old named Dalton Shaffer, who works at Steve's Pizza in Battle Creek, drove to Indianapolis to deliver two pizzas to a man who had just entered hospice care. Rich Morgan had planned to visit Steve's Pizza in Battle Creek, where he and his wife Julie used to live 25 years ago, when he found out his cancer had progressed to the point where he needed hospice care. Julie's dad, David, called Steve's asking just for an encouraging card or text from the store. Dalton took it to the next level.

Dalton found out what pizza the Morgans liked and took it upon himself to drive 225 miles, with two pizzas, to Rich and Julie's house. In his own car and on his own time after work. Then he drove back so he could be at work on Saturday.

THIS is a great story. Nice job, Dalton.
