This New Change at Meijer is Really Inconvenient
When you say Meijer, or Meijer's if you're a Michigander who's worth their salt, you might think of convenience.
However, this recent change is literally the opposite.
Meijer is one of Michigan's go to chain store, they sell basically anything you might need all under one roof. So instead of going to a clothes store and a grocery store and a pet store, it's a one-stop-shop.

And while Meijer seemingly has just about anything you might need, it's glaringly missing a feature that will make life more inconvenient...
Meijer Has Done Away With This Particular Clothes Shopping Feature
There are no more fitting rooms.
I wanted to buy a t-shirt and wanted it to fit a certain way, so I went in search of a fitting room. When I didn't find one, I double-checked with an an employee who confirmed that there indeed were no fitting rooms.

When I order clothes online, there's an assumed risk that those clothes may not fit. But, if I'm buying clothes in person, I expect/hope to be able to try things on in person.
Not only is Meijer missing a set of fitting rooms, you might have noticed that a lot of Meijer locations have done away with having a live person man the fresh meat counter.
So, this has me wondering if these changes are due to a lack of employees, or perhaps a shift towards trying to save some money?
Whatever the reason, just a heads up, you won't be able to try on any clothes if you need to. Just buy them, take them home, and hope you don't have to make another trip to return them.
