Lefty’s Left: Another Lansing Restaurant Is Apparently Gone
What's with all the Lansing area restaurant closures lately?
We just learned about YaYa's Flame Broiled Chicken and Pappa Roti; now we apparently have another local eatery to add to the list.

The Lefty's Cheesesteaks location on East Grand River Avenue in Lansing (near Frandor) is the latest to go.
Detroit-based Lefty's Cheesesteaks opened its Frandor location back in late 2021, but if you try to stop in for one of their delicious "Italian Stallions" or "Motor City Munchers" now, you'll encounter a padlocked door instead.
It's unclear exactly when Lefty's Cheesesteaks locked up for good, but the Lansing location is listed as "permanently closed" on both Google and Yelp. The corporate website for Lefty's Cheesesteaks no longer lists Lansing among its locations.
If you get a craving for Lefty's Cheesesteaks in Lansing now, you'll need to take a road trip south to Jackson. That's now the closest location. Of course, if you find yourself in the Metro Detroit area, there are several locations still operating in that part of Michigan.
We reached out to the Lefty's corporate office for additional details about the Lansing closure, and whether or not this may be a temporary thing. We'll update this story with any additional details.
