Lansing Lugnuts To Become Mighty Wombats

There's going to be lots of fun stuff going on at Cooley Law School Stadium on Saturday, August 18th as the Lansing Lugnuts will be hosting Backyard Baseball night powered by MI Student Aid. First, the Lugnuts will be giving away Backyard Baseball Pablo Sanchez bobbleheads to the first 1,000 people. For those that might not know, Backyard Baseball was a very popular series of baseball video games that were first released in the late 90's.

The Lugnuts are offering a special Pablo Sanchez Backyard Baseball bobblehead deal while supplies last to a limited number (100) of buyers. Now, if that weren't enough...earlier this month the Lugnuts held an online voting contest to rename the team for one night only on the Backyard Baseball night. If you noticed in the picture, the results are in and the Lansing Lugnuts will be known as the Mighty Wombats for one night only.
