Truly, when it comes to teams I root for and games I enjoy going to, The Lugnuts are hard to beat.

Regarding the team name and mascot: "The Lansing 'Lugnuts' name pays tribute to the city’s rich automotive heritage, particularly its history with Oldsmobile manufacturing." And the mascot, Big Lug, is a purple, goofy-looking, friendly dinosaur with a couple of lug nuts for nostrils.
