I was watching The Office the other night, you know, as one does...

It was the episode where Michael (the manager of the office) decides he wants to win back clients by putting together a gift basket full of Scranton, Pennsylvania-themed goodies.

Here's the clip for reference.

As per the scene, gift baskets are the ultimate gift, according to Michael. They have a little bit of salt and a little bit of fat because that's what people like. And in all honesty, for as much as Michael Scott normally gets wrong, I'd have to say that he got that right. People do like a bit of salt and fat, and I have to wholeheartedly agree with him on that point.

Watching Michael Scott put together and list off all the delicious stuff he put in his basket, I got to thinking about what I might put in a "Lansing-themed" gift basket.

Of course, it's gotta have a little bit of salt and a little bit of fat, but what else?

I've got some candies in my basket, and some salty snacks too. But what other "Lansing-themed" goodies could I throw in there?

What could you put in a "Lansing-themed" gift basket?

Take a look at the basket I've got going in the pictures below. I'd say it's a decently comprehensive list so far, but if there's anything you think I should add to the list, don't hesitate to let me know. Just shoot me a message using the station app.

9 Wonderful Items to Put in a Lansing-Themed Gift Basket

As Michael Scott from The Office once said, "Gift baskets are amazing. Gift baskets are the essence of class and fanciness. They are the ultimate present that a person can receive." And I don't disagree with him. That's why I decided to put together my own gift basket, but in my case, a Lansing-themed basket. Take a look through the goodies below to see what kind of items would make for a wonderful Lansing-themed gift basket. I tried to stick true to Michael's beliefs that a "little bit of fat and salt" is what people really want.
