Reddit is an online forum consisting of tens of thousands of subreddits where like-minded people can gather to discuss, share, and ask questions. And it's on the Lansing subreddit where we recently learned how Michiganders really feel about Lansing.

User Bigsauce710 took to r/Lansing to pose a question to Lansing residents, "Asking the folks of Lansing...What is your city like?"

What do Michiganders Really Think of Lansing?

The TLDR version of his elaborate explanation of his question is that they are moving to Lansing from the greater Denver area and they want to know what Lansing is like and what people like to do. And boy did Bigsauce710 get an ear full... I don't know if they were prepared for the level of response they got.

Here's a a look at how Lansing, Michigan residents really feel about their city;

User Whippet_yoga reminded everyone of the outdoor recreation that Lansing has to offer, "Everyone sleeps on how excellent for outdoor recreation Lansing actually is. We have a decent amount of mountain bike trails (Anderson, Fyne, Ingham CD, Van Atta, Burchfield), decent hiking (Rose Lake, Burchfield, and Sleepy Hollow) and good canoeing/Kayaking. We even kinda/sora/not really have rock climbing at Grand Ledge!"

But, it wasn't all sunshine and daises. Literally, there was talk of less sunshine...

User Icantremember017 said, "Colorado especially Denver has a ton more sunshine than here. It's very gray." And AT4LWL4TS was quick to give a heads up about the state of our roads, "Be prepared for the worst local roads in America."

Overall, Michiganders have a love of Lansing, and while there is definitely room for improvement, there's plenty to enjoy here as well. Check out all the opinions here.
