Lansing distillery shows you how to top your bar with pennies
Once upon a time, thirty years ago, I ended up at a party in El Paso, in a house with a chess board and six-foot tall chess pieces on the floor and one whole wall covered with pennies, set in epoxy. Something like that you don't forget, (both the party AND the wall) which may be why American Fifth (on Larch, right across from Cooley Law School Stadium) laid down and epoxied 33,000 pennies on their bar. According to MLive.com, they started with 80,000 pennies and just used the nice shiny ones. You'll see, from their video, that adult beverages were part of the DIY process.
Aren't they always?
