A woman living in the Illinois suburbs of St. Louis was recently arrested - because she failed to mow her grass. According to U.S. News and World Report, Ebony Conner of Cahokia, Illinois, was asked to mow her lawn and "relocate some cars" from her driveway a while back. She did not comply and two weeks later she was arrested. She was detained for 30 minutes while a city inspector stayed with her children at her house. She has a court date next month.

There was another lawn-related arrest this year in Alabama as well as one in Texas last year.
