Future Spartan wins $500,000 in Michigan Lottery
An anonymous (for now) 19 year-old woman from Oakland County recently won $500,000 on a Michigan Lottery "Bring on the Bens" scratch off ticket. According to MLive.com, while visiting lottery headquarters this week, she told officials, when she won, she originally thought she'd won $5,000, until her mom convinced her it was 100 times that amount.
Her initial response? "Now I can afford to go to Michigan State University!"
To that I will add - "and get the platinum dining plan!"
Congrats to the new Spartan. Many people will want to be your roomie.
