The Brown Family has been hosting a spectacular light display at their home outside of Mason for many years. (My family has had the chance to check out the lights for several years now.) However, they have announced that this Christmas season will be the last year for their light display. They posted this announcement on their website and Facebook page to let their fans know:

Major Announcement

After months of debating back-n-forth, it has been decided that the 2015 show will be the last year for the Brown Christmas Light Show. We will be building a new house in the Mason area, but decided that the light show will not be moving with us. With the time that it takes for the planning of a new home, it was decided that I just don’t have the time to plan a new house and continue with the light show. I know this will be a big letdown for lots of families in the area who have made this an annual tradition to visit and for that we are sorry.

If you have never had a chance to see their light display, I strongly suggest that you go and check it out before it's gone. Their house is located at 1093 Cranbrook Lane (off Cedar) in Mason, MI. Please click on their website--Brown Christmas Light Show-- to get more specific information. If you weren't aware, the Brown family has used their light display as a fundraiser for the Capital Area Humane Society and have raised thousands of dollars through the years for the charity. Here's a 'throwback' video from 2011 of the light display:

Thanks for the memories Brown family!! I'll miss your lights!!
