Summer fun in Michigan HAS GOT TO INVOLVE WATER. A pool, a beach, a lake, a water hose, water gun, even water balloons. We love the water.

If you have kids (or you're a kid at heart) when someone says "trip to the waterpark", people will instantly lose their minds and go running for their swimsuits and then the car. In that order. And immediately.

What if we told you there was not just a waterpark but a FLOATING WATERPARK and it was less than an hour away from Lansing?

Behold...

Jump Island and it's actually in BRIGHTON.

It's on Bishop Lake in Brighton, Michigan. If you and the family want to make the most of this potential summer fun adventure, there is a campground nearby (Bishop Lake Campgrounds).

It's everything you and the family love. A day at the beach, in the water, and at the waterpark.

Reservations are not required but definitely recommended. We know how expensive it can be to take the kids and do stuff during the summer. Prices are not too bad here compared to taking off to a major amusement park.

There's plenty for you and the kids to see and do here. Giant slides, obstacle courses, things to jump off and bounce on including the Iceberg.

Peep the video below. Share it with the family. You have plenty of time left this summer to definitely have an adventure on a floating waterpark. About an hour away and you can stay the night at the campgrounds.

You and the kiddos and some smores after tiring yourself out all day at Jump Island.
