Enjoy a Northern Michigan Winter with ‘Snowshoe, Wine & Brew’
Northern Michigan is filled with all types of wintertime fun, and one of the best is back again this year.
The Old Mission Snowshoe Wine &. Brew is underway again in Traverse City. Every Sunday through March 6 you can enjoy snowshoe season with a twist.
Participants meet at the Jolly Pumpkin and jump aboard the TC Brew Bus. From there they’ll head to Brys Estate Vineyard and Winery. Turn its Then it's time to head out into the great outdoors. Following a flagged path you’ll make your way to Bowers Harbor Vineyards, then snowshoe back to where you parked at Jolly Pumpkin.
Although it may sound just like a little outdoor fun, it’s the stops that make the whole event unique. Glasses of wine, beer or even spiked cider await you at each destination.Travelers will get five tastings at each stop along the way to tide them over on their journey.
The destinations will also offer up other specials as well such as discounts. Those taking part in the trek can check-in on Facebook at each destination will receive a stamp and then receive as special commemorative snowshoe souvenir wine glass at the Jolly Pumpkin.
Tickets are just $28 per person and include all tastings and the bus ride. No snowshoes? No problem. You can rent a pair for the day. No snow? Also no problem. The event will still go on and just become more of a hiking event.
