DeWitt Restaurant Owner To Open New Eatery On Lansing’s Eastside
Lansing's Eastside is going to have a new addition to its food and drink scene.
According to the Lansing State Journal, the owners of Bridge Street Social in DeWitt are opening up a "Spanish-influenced restaurant and wine bar" called Bar Mitena in Lansing's Eastside neighborhood. The new eatery, which is taking over the old Strange Matter Coffee space at 2001 East Michigan Avenue, will feature a large cocktail and wine selection, along with Spanish-influenced food dishes like tapas.
Justin King and Mike Luther are the owners of Bottleneck Hospitality which "opened Bridge Street Social in DeWitt in 2016", and they are excited to bring "another level of diversity to Lansing's east side" with Bar Mitena. The new eatery will seat about 40 people -- very intimate -- which is what the owners are going for. They are also hoping to open the doors to Bar Mitena this April.
