Another Michigan Country Music Festival Cancels
Another Michigan country music festival in the works for 2025 has pulled the plug before it ever even happened.
The Country Roads Music Festival, planned for July 18 through July 20 at The Groves of Michigan in Brooklyn, will not be held as scheduled.
According to a statement on the Country Roads Music Festival website, organizers say "this wasn’t an easy call, but we truly believe it’s the right one. Our goal has always been to create something meaningful for this community, and we want to give it the time and care it deserves."
Why Country Roads Was Created
Plans for the Country Roads Music Festival had begun to come together in February in the wake of the surprise announcement that the Faster Horses Music Festival would be going on hiatus for the 2025 season. Faster Horses had been held annually for more than a decade adjacent to The Groves of Michigan at Michigan International Speedway.
Who Was Set to Perform
As opposed to Faster Horses, Country Roads Music Festival organizers had planned for a smaller festival that would offer fans a more intimate experience with more than a dozen Michigan-based regional acts and national headliners like Colt Ford, Drew Baldridge and Restless Road.

Organizers have pledged full refunds as quickly as possible for those who had purchased tickets.
What Comes Next for 2026
"We’re so grateful for your support and understanding. This community means the world to us, and we can’t wait to share something really special with you in 2026," the statement on the Country Roads Music Festival website concludes.

There's still no official word as to whether Faster Horses intends to make a return in 2026.
