Faster Horses is Not Coming Back to Michigan International Speedway This Summer
It looks like Faster Horses may not be coming back this year.
Faster Horses Will Not Return to Michigan International Speedway in 2026
It's been confirmed that Faster Horses will not be returning to Michigan International Speedway for 2026. This news was verified by Cambridge Township Clerk Rick Richardson who said that MIS told the township the music festival wouldn't be coming back to the speedway this year.
This news comes a year after Faster Horses announced that it would be canceling the festival for 2025 to take a step back and make plans for a better festival for attendees. This was the message from the Faster Horses website at the time of writing this article:
Dear Fans -
We have made the decision to pause Faster Horses Festival in 2025.
We are taking the year to make plans for a bigger and better Faster Horses for our fans who deserve the absolute best.
We love our friends at Michigan International Speedway, the community, and all of those behind the scenes. While we hope to bring you something in the future, for now we encourage you to keep the community strong and support live music in Michigan!

Questions had already started circulating about whether Faster Horses would return in 2026. The lineup is usually announced in January, with tickets going on sale in February.
But, it's now March and we haven't heard about the lineup or ticket sales. Combined with the news that MIS isn’t hosting Faster Horses, it’s looking more and more like there won’t be a giant, days-long country music festival in Michigan this year.
