Charlotte Deli is Expanding and Adding a Bakery
I always been a fan of a good deli. One of my favorites is Carnegie in New York. The sandwiches are HUGE! always found over the years as well that some f the best ones are in small cities and towns.
If you're a deli fan like me, you're gonna love the news coming out of Charlotte from foxnews47.
The new Sidestreets Deli is expanding on Cochran Avenue in Charlotte. Their new sign came in Wednesday morning, and they now have a new long deli case. This is what was holding up their opening said owner Dave McNamara. They are hoping to open soon, Feb. 20.
The original Sidestreets Deli opened in 2012. Now, 9 years later, they are going to offer so much more including a bakery. Plus not only that, Sidestreets will also have a big variety of cheeses which is my favorite. Eating cheese for me is like eating candy to others. The entire line of Boar's Head will be there. If you never tried Boar's Head you are in for a treat. There will also be many new menu items.
McNamara said his inspiration for the inside of the new deli is New York with a little bit of European flavor. His wife, who was born in Italy, had a large influence.
Sounds like this Deli is going to be incredible, and I can't wait to check it out. They think there will be indoor seating for about 60 folks. With the pandemic still going on, for now it will be kept at 25 percent capacity. Hopefully that will change soon.
