According the the Lansing State Journal, Cedar Point announced that "Mean Streak", the world's tallest and fastest wooden coaster, will be giving it's last rides.

Cedar Point made a statement via their website: "Why's it going away? Well, we can't say just yet. But now's your chance to pay your last respects to the park's wooden thriller." You'll have until September 16th to take your last turn on the wooden roller coaster. On the evening of the 16th, there will be a special "last rites" ceremony to say goodbye. Check out days and hours that the coaster will be open HERE.

Cedar Point is keeping pretty hush-hush as to the future plans for that spot in Frontier Town, but suggests to keep an eye out for more details to come. Can we expect a crazy new coaster with tons of twists and turns? Only time will tell...
