Additional Information

EVERYbody Reads is very excited to announce the local author (and Mason Middle School teacher), Kristine Brickey will be visiting our humble bookstore on Thursday, May 28th from 7pm – 9pm to share her debut novel, Flowers for Rodney.
Flowers for Rodney tells the poignantly realistic story of a teenage boy struggling to find himself in a world made bleak by the loss of his father. Addressing the mother-son relationship with a refreshing candidness, author Kristine E. Brickey tackles social issues like drugs, alcohol, peer pressure, bullying, and their affects on teens and parents with a raw and illuminating honesty.
This event is free, open to the public and is appropriate for all from middle school aged to 115 (116 year olds are welcome so long as they are supervised by a parent). Proceeds of book sales will be donated to the Firecracker Foundation.
