The alleged bad guys (and well, maybe the alleged bad girls too...) are like Santa. They are...allegedly...everywhere.


And there are times that they are unable to outrun the long arm of the law and they get their stuff confiscated...

I'm guessing that this is what happens because that's what I've seen on TV...

Anyway, there is a sale coming up of the confiscated stuff from the alleged bad guys and girls. And here's what you need to know from the press release from the State of Michigan Surplus Store. It looks like you can get some sweet stuff for not a lot of cash.

State of Michigan's Surplus Store opens to public for holiday sale

LANSING, Mich. -- The state of Michigan’s Surplus Store, located at 3111 West St. Joseph – Bldg. 600, Lansing, MI 48917, will be open Saturday, Dec. 7, from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m.

The Surplus Store has a vast inventory of items coming from property seized by police, items voluntarily surrendered at airports, surplus property from local public colleges, and property no longer needed by government agencies.

Items available through the store include computers, phone and computer accessories, various knives, wine keys, sporting goods, tools, automotive equipment, desks, file cabinets, chairs, bookshelves, jewelry, and fashion accessories.

The Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget is charged with collecting these items and making them available to the public for purchase through the Surplus Store, live auctions and online auctions. Access is also provided to the federal surplus program for government agencies and nonprofit organizations.
