End of an Era: Dershey’s Cafe Closing After Nearly 30 Years
Sadly, nothing lasts forever. It's inevitable that we'll see business openings and closings over the years across Greater Lansing. However, it's always particularly difficult when we see such beloved, long-standing businesses close their doors.

This difficult news is a reality for Dershey's Cafe in St. Johns.

Dershey's Cafe has been serving the St. Johns community for nearly 30 years. Unfortunately, that is all coming to an end as the cafe has announced that it will be permanently closing its doors.
Community Shows Overwhelming Support
The announcement was made on Facebook on July 28, and since then, the outpouring of love from the community has been tremendous—the original post now has over 350 reactions, 75 comments, and 130 shares.

In the announcement, the Dershey's Cafe family expressed that the decision to close was with heavy hearts and was not an easy one to make. They also expressed extreme gratitude and love for the community they've had the pleasure of serving for nearly 30 years.
To every customer who became family, every friend who walked through our doors, and every person who supported us over the years—thank you. You have blessed our lives more than words can ever express. We have laughed together, cried together, celebrated milestones, shared countless cups of coffee, and created memories that will remain in our hearts forever.
