Certain Michigan cities undeniably have a better singles scene than others. But why?

How Michigan's Best Cities for Singles Were Determined

HomeSnacks looked at all 89 Michigan cities that have a total population of at least 10,000 people, and then delved into a variety of things that presumably matter to singles - like how many other single people are around there, each city's median age, and its male-to-female ratio, among other things.

Study authors looked at each city's nightlife options and access to affordable housing as well.

Common Themes Among Michigan's Best Cities for Singles

Several of the places that are homes to Michigan's largest universities found themselves among the state's top cities for singles. That makes sense - predictably, the population's more youthful as a whole. Additionally, fewer of them have taken the plunge and already gotten married, which in turn increases the "singles" pool.
