NASCAR announced yesterday that they will resume racing on Sunday, May 17th, at Darlington Raceway. There will be no fans, no qualifying and no practice. Just get in your car and drive. This race should see the return of Ryan Newman and Matt Kenseth

This first Cup race will be 400 miles long, starts at 3:30 and will be seen on FOX. Three days later, on Wednesday night, May 20th at 7:30, they'll run another Cup race at Darlington (on FS1). Sunday, May 24th at 6 p.m on FOX, NASCAR will be in Charlotte, NC for the traditional running of the Coca Cola 600 on the Sunday before Memorial Day. (The Indy 500, usually run earlier that same day, has now been scheduled for Sunday, August 23rd) Finally, on Wednesday night, May 27th, the Cup series will again run in Charlotte at 8 p.m (on FS1).

In addition to the Cup races, there will be an Xfinity series race at both tracks and a truck race in Charlotte.

This schedule keeps the teams close to their families and shops and gives NASCAR more time to figure out where they'll be able to race next. That might be quite a feat.
