Admiral From Grand Ledge to Take Command Of U.S. Naval Forces in Japan
On June 2nd, Grand Ledge High School alum, Rear Admiral Greg Fenton, will give the commencement address at the Grand Ledge graduation ceremony, which will take place at the Breslin Center. And according to the Lansing State Journal, he'll then leave to take control of U.S. Naval Forces in Japan.
The last time we caught up with Admiral Fenton, about two and a half years ago, he was just a captain and giving up command of the USS George Washington. Now, he'll be in command of an area that, with the recent actions of China and North Korea, is one of the world's political hotspots.
Which may be easier than holding the attention of several hundred seniors ready to get to their last summer. Good luck and Godspeed, Admiral Fenton.
