Beloved Lansing Restaurant YaYa’s Kitchen Reopens Near Frandor

Lansing has been waiting on bated breath for the opening of this beloved restaurant.

New Restaurant Opens in Lansing

Well, they don't have to wait any longer, because YaYa's Kitchen has officially opened its doors as of March 17, 2026.

Lansing had a YaYa's back in the day, but it closed very suddenly in June of 2023.

Now, almost two and a half years later, YaYa's, and its signature flame-broiled chicken, is back.

Where the New YaYa’s Kitchen Is Located

The new YaYa's location isn't too far from the original location. In fact, it's right across the street to the previous location. You can find it located at 716 N Clippert, which is right next to Bubbakoo's Burritos (formerly Big John's Steak & Onion).

YaYa's is sure to be busy with loyal patrons visiting once again. As if the Frandor area wasn’t already busy enough, expect this to make things worse.

We first learned of YaYa's return in January, and it made huge waves in the Lansing foodie universe. But, this isn't the only new restaurant to open in the area.

Other Restaurants Opening in Lansing This Year

In addition to YaYa's neighbor, Bubbakoo's Burritos, the Frandor area also had a Shake Shack open and is anticipating the opening of a Wing Stop and Smoothie King.
