According to MLive.com, because he was only a mile away at the time, Michigan DNR officer Steve Speigl was the first to respond to an auto accident last month in northern Michigan. When he got there, he immediately checked on the occupants of the two vehicles. According to the official DNR report, in one vehicle, he opened the back door to see a woman, with a bloody nose, sitting quietly and crocheting. She told the officer "that crocheting was relaxing and she needed it after being involved in the accident."

Which is why it's good to have a hobby.
