Jeep the Mac Returns With Mackinac Bridge Crossing
In Michigan, there are two types of people: those who already own a Jeep... and those who suddenly feel the urge to get one this time of year.
If you're one of those people who DO have a Jeep, get ready because this event is just for you!
Jeep the Mac Returns to Michigan
After a two-year hiatus, the Jeep the Mac event officially brings back one of the most Pure Michigan traditions out there — driving your Jeep across the Mackinac Bridge as part of a massive, high-spirited celebration. It had been suspended due to construction work, but it's officially back!
Jeep the Mac—taking place on May 8 and 9 in St. Ignace—is essentially a pilgrimage for Jeep enthusiasts. We’re talking hundreds of Jeeps converging on the Upper Peninsula to enjoy a weekend packed with off-road adventures, live events, and that special energy shared by those fellow Jeep people who just get it.
And of course, hundreds — if not thousands — of ducks. If you know, you know.
What Happens During the Weekend
There's a lot packed into the weekend. After Friday's bridge crossing, there's a scavenger hunt, meet-ups with fellow enthusiasts, and even a drone light show.
Saturday leans fully into the spirit of adventure with off-road trail rides (including Drummond Island for the truly fearless) and ends with a light parade—because, apparently, regular Jeeps just aren't fun enough unless they're all lit up and glowing.

If you want to participate, you’ll have to register in advance (last-minute plans won't cut it), as spots tend to fill up very quickly.
Even if you don't own a Jeep yet, maybe go with a friend who has one?
