A nice amount of rain and plenty of sunny days lately has made Michigan farmers who grow corn very happy. According to Mlive.com, Michigan's corn crop is "well ahead of last year". As a matter of fact, some farmers think things are going "too good" and wonder how long the weather can keep going like this.

You might remember last year, when the spring was really wet and a lot of corn didn't get planted until much later than normal. And what does that cause? Standing corn, late into deer season. So, I'm all for this. Except, it takes away one of my great excuses for not "getting my buck".

Don't worry, I've got a million of them.
