What’s That Strange Buzzing Noise?

According to KCBS-TV, two motorists in La Canada Flintridge, California got into a car accident on Sunday, which is never good. However, what makes this story a little different is the fact that after the accident, their car crashed into a tree and disturbed a huge hive of angry bees. The bees then attacked the two women who got out of their car to exchange insurance information.
A 51-year-old woman was stung around one thousand times (!!!), and dove into a nearby swimming pool to try to avoid the swarm. The other motorist, who is 17 years old, was stung around 100 times, and it took a responding deputy spraying the woman with a fire extinguisher and then a garden hose to scare the bees away. The deputy was also stung but refused treatment at a local hospital.
**I should also explain the photo above. This is not a photo of the woman that was stung one thousand times! This is a photo of a beekeeper that was competing in a 'bee bearding contest' and actually won the contest by attracting nearly 60 pounds of bees onto his body--ON PURPUSE--wearing only a pair of shorts and swimming googles!
