What’s Going On This Weekend: Classic Cars, Dogs, Fairs & More
Summer's nearing its end, but there's still time to get out and enjoy what Mid-Michigan has to offer this season!

Danish Festival
Danish Festival 2022 is happening in Greenville through Sunday (August 18-21). The event features an artist fair and boutique, multiple parades, helicopter rides and much more. Don't miss the Fyrværkeri Spektakulære (Fireworks Spectacular) on Saturday night at Frugthaven Farm.
Calhoun County Fair
Michigan's longest continuously running fair marks its 174th year at the fairgrounds in Marshall. The Calhoun County Fair features livestock, a demolition derby, games, food and more, Thursday through Saturday (August 18-20).
DeWitt Ox Roast
Ready for the 76th Annual DeWitt Ox Roast? It's happening Friday through Sunday (August 19-21) in downtown DeWitt. Enjoy a pancake breakfast, midway rides, frog jumping, a duck race, a tractor pull and much more.
Woodward Dream Cruise
The annual Woodward Dream Cruise happens Saturday (August 20) from 9am to 9pm. Classic car-centric events are planned along historic Woodward Avenue from Pontiac to Ferndale. Multiple antique and classic car shows will be held. There will be plenty of parades and a wide variety of commemorative merchandise available.
Michigan Dog Fest
This one's for the dogs! (And the people who love them.) The Michigan Dog Fest happens Saturday and Sunday (August 20-21) at Canterbury Village in Lake Orion. Rescue organizations will be on-site, and there'll be plenty for your furry friends to do. Be sure to watch the Ultimate Air Dogs shows at noon , 2pm and 4pm both days!
Michigan Renaissance Festival
The Michigan Renaissance Festival in Holly is back beginning this weekend (August 20-21) and continuing every weekend through October 2. The event's official website promises a "magical 16th Century European village featuring 17 stages of exciting entertainment including: musicians, magicians, jugglers and jousting."
Montrose Blueberry Festival
The Montrose Downtown Entertainment District hosts the annual Montrose Blueberry Festival through Sunday (August 21). Expect craft beer and wine tasting, live entertainment, carnival rides, and blueberry-themed activities galore.
