LSSU has compiled an annual Banished Words List since 1976 to uphold, protect, and support excellence in language by encouraging avoidance of words and terms that are overworked, redundant, oxymoronic, clichéd, illogical, nonsensical—and otherwise ineffective, baffling, or irritating. Over the decades, LSSU has received tens of thousands of nominations for the list, which now totals more than 1,000 entries. (LSSU)

There are a couple on here that I actually find funny and use often. I think we are all guilty of "no worries" and "wait, what" is still funny to me. So is "asking for a friend".

"You're on mute" became a necessity because of the nonstop online meetings we've had to endure since the pandemic. And you'd figure people would have that worked out by now.

But everything else on this list HAS GOT TO GO.

CIRCLE BACK would have been my number one. See also anything involving Zoom or Teams meetings.

AT THE END OF THE DAY and THAT BEING SAID would have been second and third respectively.
