Recently there's been a bunch of spinning ice discs videos showing up on the internet. If I came upon one of these in nature, I don't think I could look away.

So, if they find me in the woods some spring, next to a river and mummified, and they ask you, "what do you think happened?" - tell them "ice disc". And then shake your head and walk away. And don't answer any more questions, because it'll ruin the moment. But, later on, you'll laugh about it.

One of those spinning ice discs showed up on the Pine River last week, near Vestaburg, MI. (Good thing I don't live too close to Vestaburg) ScienceAlert.com shared the video and explained how ice discs form.
