Don't be fooled by this latest scam.

According to WXYZ, the new Facebook scam that's making the rounds is coming straight to your inbox by using something (or someone) familiar to trick you: your friends. A fake account, which is created by stealing people's "photos and personal information", messages you and says something along these lines:

Hi....I actually got another friend request from you yesterday...which I ignored so you may want to check your account. Hold your finger on the message until the forward button appears...then hit forward and all the people you want to forward too....I had to do the people individually. Good Luck!

The hope is that the person being scammed will follow these instructions, which allows the scammers to try to get more personal information, about either the person they're pretending to be or the person who received the message.

If you get a message that reads like that or something similar, just delete it right away. Read more about the scam here.
