Ten feet of snow already up in the Keweenaw. Five-foot snowbanks lining the sidewalks in Negaunee. Almost four feet of snow in the last week, in some parts. It's winter in the Upper Peninsula. Never mind that winter doesn't officially start until Saturday.

According to MLive.com, Marquette had 30 inches on the ground at the start of the week, but they've had more. At this point in 1983, they already had 32 inches on the ground. Manistique has had 41 inches of snow fall so far this season, but in 1989 they had already gotten 43 inches by now.
