Traverse City airport’s Piper passes away
Piper, a border collie who was the wildlife control K-9, "chief morale officer" and mascot for the Cherry Capital Airport and Coast Guard Station in Traverse City, passed away on Wednesday. He had his own website, was a big hit on Reddit and had fans all over the world. According to MLive.com, Piper passed away after a year long battle with prostate cancer.
He was one of the coolest dogs in Michigan and was obviously loved very much. Here's the story, with some great photos and tributes from his friends.
