Tomorrow (January 24th) is "Beer Can Appreciation Day". With all the craft breweries in Michigan now, Michigan seems like a good place to collect beer cans. That's why I'm happy to share some information on the CORRECT way to collect beer cans, from an expert - Joe Prin, from Boise, Idaho.

According to the Idaho Statesman, Joe has been collecting beer cans for forty-three years. He now has a collection of 11,000 cans of beer. After reading their article, I've learned a few things from Joe.

Rule 1: “There’s no reason to keep a can full. There’s no value.”

Rule 2: Punch a hole in the bottom to drain the beer out. Whether it's into your mouth or not is your choice. “When this can is put on display later, the top is intact and it’s a collectible quality,” Prin explains.

Rule 3: With new breweries popping up all the time, what you want is their "FCOB". That stands for "first can of brewery". It's like getting the rookie card.
