The Burritos at This Michigan Spot Will Ruin All Others for You
Feast your eyes on this — three seafood burritos smothered in golden, gooey cheese, nestled next to a side of rice and beans that are clearly just as excited to be there.
This isn't your typical dinner pic. This is a love story.
Tia Helita's Mexican Cuisine in Burton, Michigan, has officially ruined all other Mexican food for me. I'm not saying eating their seafood burritos changed my life... but I'm not not saying it, either.
Why Tia Helita’s Seafood Burritos Are a Must-Try
Look. I'm not even sure what all's in there. I was having an out-of-body experience, and I'm just now beginning to recall scattered details about this molten masterpiece. I remember seeing shrimp and flour tortillas. I recollect the cheesiness. Everything was seasoned to perfection. The beans were silky smooth, and the rice was fluffy and delicious.
The Chips, Guac, and Salsa Deserve Their Own Spotlight
And don't even get me started on the chips and salsa (and fresh guacamole). I didn't know whether to eat it or propose to it.
I would box up this dinner and take it with me on a plane as my emotional support entree.

If this seafood burrito had a fan club, I would be president.
If there was a statue of Tia Helita herself in front of the restaurant, I would lay flowers at its base.

More Than a Meal — It’s a Culinary Experience
Tia Helita's has the kind of menu that makes you cancel your afternoon plans and your diet. It's not just the best Mexican food in Michigan — it's a culinary mic drop. If you haven't been, go. If you have been, go again. And if you see someone weeping softly at Table 7, just mind ya biz. I'm having another religious experience with a burrito.
Love live Tia Helita's.
