The Federal Trade Commission released a list of the ten different area codes that these "One Ring Scams" would most likely use.

It had to happen because there are bad actors seemingly around every corner, and I don't mean bad movies. There is another phone scam circulating in Kent County.

Scammers will call and try to scare and intimidate you into giving up your credit card info. Consumer's Energy says they don't do that to their customers.

Not another scam. Yes, I am afraid so, and this one sounds like it's worse than the others we reported on. Everyone has to be so careful these days about email and phone call scams.  Be leery of anybody asking for money and personal information...

The last 12 months there has been so many more ways for people to fall victim to a scam.  We have passed along at least 5 or 6 lately, and many targeting our elderly which is unacceptable.  I guess with many folks losing income, and their jobs it's bringing a few to a life of crime...
