All right, we'll confess. Unless you speed, this one may be just slightly more than two hours away from Lansing. But it was just too adorable to pass up. The National Baby Food Festival is happening through Saturday (July 23) in Fremont. As you might expect, there are tons of kids' activities at this one, plus parades and a car show too. Enter the Baby Food Feeding Contest if you don't mind ending up looking like the kid above.


 

The Bronson Polish Festival is going down Thursday through Saturday (July 21-23). Enjoy delicious Polish delicacies, Friday night fireworks, and a Saturday night polka with live music from the Kielbasa Kings.

Thursday through Sunday (July 21-24), it's the Mayville Sunflower Festival. In addition to village-wide garage sales, there will be live music, a "bump-and-run" derby, and lots of children's activities as well.

The Ann Arbor Art Fair boasts itself to be the biggest juried art fair in all of the United States. Nearly a thousand artists will be represented throughout approximately thirty city blocks. Around 500,000 visitors are expected over the course of the three-day period.

The 23rd Annual Summer Beer Festival is happening at Ypsilanti's Riverside Park Friday and Saturday (July 22-23). Hundreds of local, fresh Michigan beers will be available to sample, and there'll be food and live music too.


The Michigan Medieval Faire wraps up this weekend at Canterbury Village in Lake Orion this weekend (July 23-24). Minstrels, mead and more await you in this step back in time. Enjoy axe-throwing and archery challenges, and grab a turkey leg while you're there!

 


Mid-Michigan's Enchanted Forest, not far from Frankenmuth, continues this weekend (July 23-24) as well. It offers dozens of period entertainers, food, and lots of pirate games. This weekend's theme is "When Worlds Collide", which organizers describe as  "a bag of renaissance, a dash of steampunk, a drizzle of cosplay, and a pinch of imagination".
