Stay Away From These Toxic School Supplies
Earlier this week a report was published by the US Public Interest Research Group Education Fund about some school supplies that consumers should stay away from because of potential toxins. Their list of school supplies to avoid includes:
- A 36-count pack of Playskool crayons from Dollar Tree that contained asbestos
- EXPO dry erase markers with scented ink that were available on Amazon that were found to have traces of benzene
- The Board Dudes six magnetic dry erase markers that also contained traces of benzene
- A Jot 1-inch 3-ring blue binder from Dollar Tree that contained high levels of phthalates
