You Had To Wait Until Wednesday Didn't You?

If Wednesday was gonna be the day for you to go get your vaccine at Sparrow in Frandor (inside the old Sears store), you picked a fine time to go get the shot.

And I get your logic. You might be thinking hey, everyone else will be out eating tacos and sucking down tequila for Cinco De Mayo.

Maybe the line of cars wrapped around the building won't look like this.

And you wouldn't be in that line of cars anyway because you'd be walking in. That's why they call it that right?

Closed on Cinco and Not Because of Cinco

Sadlly, the Sparrow Walk-In Clinic in Frandor will be closed on Wednesday, May 5th (Cinco De Mayo). And it has nothing to do with the potentially guacamole filled fiesta that's happening. They're just counting and catching up.

The hospital says the reason for the closing is to catch up on scheduling. The nearby drive-thru location at the former Sears Automotive Center will remain open for COVID testing and blood draws. (WILX)

No vaccines on Wednesday but they will be back at it on Thursday.

On Wednesday, May 5, the clinic will be closed and will re-open on Thursday, May 6.

  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Thursday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Sparrow)
