Soon – in Michigan – you won’t even be able to touch your phone while driving
Legislation is pending in the Michigan House of Representatives that would aim to cut down on distracted driving by making it illegal to touch your phone while driving your car. It's already illegal to text while driving, but this law - if passed - would make it illegal to do anything that would involve touching your phone while driving. According to Fox2Detroit.com, that means no checking your email, no taking photos of funny license plates, no checking social media and no playing games. Even while you're stopped at a red light. If you have hands-free technology and wanna make some phone calls - knock yourself out. Just don't touch your phone.
As somebody who's been behind several vehicles swerving down the road recently, while the driver looks at their phone, I say "good". Get this thing passed.
