The rumors of a major snowstorm hitting some part of lower Michigan this weekend are rampant online. But, what's the real story? I'm glad you asked.

According to MLive.com, the forecast models have the heaviest snow happening south of us. However, earlier in the week, there were forecasts (you may have seen some of the panic on Facebook) that had us getting several inches to a couple of feet of snow around here. I think if you're headed south of the state line this Friday or Saturday, you might run into this storm, but even that depends on the timing of the rain turning into snow.

We should know how it will all play out, tomorrow morning.
