There are few things as awe-inspiring as the Shipwreck Museum at Whitefish Point.

Kids of all ages (me included) dig this place...see artifacts from Michigan shipwrecks including the history of the infamous doomed 'Edmund Fitzgerald.' Why wait 'til November (the anniversary month of the Ed Fitz) to go? The weather might be awful by that time; besides, you can add this as one of your stops on your Michigan roadtrip this summer.

Many things to see and do...and a souvenir shop with mementos and Edmund Fitzgerald items for sale....more than likely you will find something you will love to own. THE ADDRESS: 18335 N. Whitefish Point Road, Paradise, Michigan.

They are constantly looking for new employees every summer, so if that sounds like a good gig, check out their website for info.

They are also involved in restorations, underwater research, and their own weather bureau.
