Self driving cars are getting their own city in Michigan for testing. But they won't be taking over your city. According to Bloomberg Business, the University of Michigan and the Transportation Research Institute have built a 32 acre "simulated city", called M City, on the U of M campus.

Already, over 3,000 "connected" cars operate on the streets of Ann Arbor. M City will be a testing site for new self-driving technology before it hits the public streets of Ann Arbor and southeastern Michigan.
