I leave the house every morning when it's still dark. Sometimes I run into spider webs on our porch. Seems like I'm always running into them when I'm out in the woods this time of year. And, it seems, there's a lot more spiders showing up in our house recently. (See my photo to the left)

Why is that?

According to the Burke Museum, in Seattle, this time of year, spiders have fully matured and their webs are much bigger. More surface area - greater chance of running into one. And, all those spiders you've seen recently, crawling around in your house? Sexually mature males wandering in search of mates.

Yes, spiders are texting their friends right now, telling them to meet at your house.

Chicka wow wow.

So, pleasant dreams and here's the museum's information.

Oh, yeah - if my lovely wife Michelle is reading this - got that spider with a paper towel - and no mark on the tablecloth. Go check it out.
